Sudip Mukherjee has worked with many companies in a senior position for a number of years. But all this while, he always had the urge to create something new and innovative that will be beneficial to the society. Finally he took his entrepreneurship plunge and his passion led him to build, EUOR Health. With strong spirits and undaunted urge, he left his job and started this venture with wife and co-founder, Chandrima Mukherjee. Nearly after 2.5 years, they have come a long way and have been awarded as the best emerging startup of the year by ASSOCHAM for 2016 in their National Brand Summit.

Their team also consists of Chiranjib Basu, a senior professional from the Telecom Industry with expertise in Process and Operations. Additionally, they have Sagarika Mullick who heads the HR Department in the company. Amit Panda holds the position of the Product Head in EUOR Health. Ms. Laboni Roy takes care of the Customer and Call Centre Operation.

The startup is bootstrapped till now. Sudip has invested his money in the startup. Interestingly, friends, relatives and family members have also invested in the startup. Moreover, it has fixed an equity deal with Brand Capital (A BCCL Co.) to increase the brand value through TOI network.

EUOR Health

Credihealth is a major competitor for the startup. Sudip Mukherjee talks about the “Uniqueness” in EUOR Health which distinguishes it from other similar startups. Their USP is their Product/Service portfolio, their network, and their Unique Product (EUOR Health Card) with distinguishing and exclusive features.

The EUOR Health Card is a unique card which provides an unique Health Account no. to a consumer family under which they can enjoy the benefit of Health Insurance, Accidental Insurance, Home Healthcare Support and Health Services/Products usually not covered under Health insurance with high discounts.

Customers can manage their entire healthcare requirement through their APP Portal & 24X7 Call support (Toll Free). Family members health record is also kept stored in the startup’s cloud server. To do this arrangement, the startup has signed an exclusive long term contract with Alliance insurance Broker & Health India TPA to give unmatchable benefits to consumers.

They are the only platform providing end to end solution for any healthcare consumer including Health Insurance (as the startup claims). With crystal clear understanding of the project, the team always stands united in any difficulty as they are purely bootstrapped.

Having a startup isn’t a big deal. Overcoming the challenges is. If the startup has the potential to vanquish the challenges, success is not lagging behind. EUOR Health faces difficulty of managing and allocating funds in the right manner. Also, recruiting the right talent is always a problem in this emerging startup environment. However, they boast to have acquired a user database of 1 lac people based in Kolkata and record a minimum of 5% active users per month. And the revenue of 7 to 10 lakhs per month, as claimed by the company is quite pleasing.

Future Plans

The startup is ready to venture into Mumbai, Nagpur and Pune this month. And, they intend to launch in PAN India in the coming 6 months with all its services and operations. They further plan to include new high end technologies with collaborations with their International Partners. This will give immense benefit to the general people in terms of affordability and Convenience to get healthcare services.
