This startup helps to simplify legal tasks for startups – MyOnlineCA

With new startups emerging out daily, there is a dire need for an efficient legal service provider. While building your own startup from scratch is a herculean task, so is handling the legal issues like tax registration, contract drafting, accounting, agreement drafting, etc. Aiding to this particular need Devyansh Patel and Ankush Sachdeva came up with MyOnlineCA.

What is MyOnlineCA?

MyOnlineCA is an on-demand service provider for any forms of legal matters concerning startups and SMEs. It provides both online as well as offline service for company registration, tax filings, company compliance, accounting, terms and conditions drafting, etc. This company is building some amazing tools using modern technology which is simplifying legal errands to a great level. From providing free consultancy, reducing costs and saving time by doing several tasks on DIY forms this tool is simplifying every legal task to as simple as it can be. Currently the company is focusing on business and tax registration for startups and SMEs.

What motivated you to work in this particular domain?

Devyash was doing his CA internship in Jaipur when an idea struck him. He thought he could use technology to simplify legal matters and make it interactive. With this idea he started off with MyOnlineCA in 2015. The marketplace for him was Professionals. After successfully providing services to 1,000+ clients, he changed his working model and shifted to In-house Legal Team in 2016. At this point Ankush who had an experience of over three years in legal and professional industry joined MyOnlineCa as a co-founder. They started with a simple vision to provide assistance for any sort of legal task, and make it simple and provide excellent services beyond client expectations.

Your core team

As stated earlier, both founders have an experience in the legal field. However, at MyOnlineCA, Devyash, a tech-geek is mainly responsible for the marketing, development and technology part of the company. On the other hand Ankush handles the company’s backend legal operations and everything related to servicing the client. Apart from the co-founders the core team consists of young and vibrant Charted Accountants and Company Secretaries.

Journey So Far

MyOnlineCA has already provided services to more than 1800 clients. Out of which majority of the clients are long term. Hence they keep them engaged for their every-day business legal needs. When asked about funding Ankush stated, “We are still a bootstrapped company but now we are planning to explore new opportunities and hence are on the look for investors and mentors.”

“Despite having a negligible marketing budget the website holds amazing traffic and it ranks in India’s top 5000 websites as per Alexa”, says Devyash.

The beyond expectation services provided by MyOnlineCA is what sets them apart. Their free legal consultancy and technological tools is another factor which gives them an edge over other startups. It is due to their services that most of their clients help them in branding through word of the mouth.

Challenges and Future

One of the main challenges that MyOnlineCA is facing is “building a good team which can work in a startup”, says Devyash. Apart from this, due to bootstrapping, it’s very difficult for them to handle such a huge traction on their platform with limited human resources.

Currently present in Jaipur and Delhi, MyOnlineCA is working towards expanding and establishing itself as India’s leading legal tech company. They are planning to explore new opportunities and also they are on the look for investors and mentors under whose supervision they can bring their vision of simplifying every legal task beyond satisfaction to life.
