uber CEO

Being a CEO is undoubtedly the hardest position in a company because you wear hats of thousands of employees, millions of customers, and countless processes but at the end it is only you who has to figure out which hats – out of infinite options – to try on!

To actually count on the heartbeats of the company you have to get into the shoes of an average employee just like Sachin Bansal and Binny Bansal did by turning into delivery men during their Big Billion Days.

For Travis Kalanick, Uber CEO, days were quite similar to that of the Bansals’. Yes you heard it right, he became an Uber driver. In Feb 2014 he decided to stand in the line of any other Uber cab driver.

By 2014, the company touched many heights of success by reaching out to 80 cities worldwide. So did the Uber CEO. He had a new urge for Range Rover, which was not difficult to fulfill for this rich man.

His “Uber driver” experience actually drove attention to the loopholes attached with Uber operations.

From an interview later it was visible that he actually had days of his life as an Uber driver. In his last 13 trips he met a microcosm of humanity, 2 Italian entrepreneurs, a neurosurgeon, and a couple making out.

Nobody seemed to recognize who he was, other than the Italian entrepreneurs. The remarks he got from his customers actually meant that this entity was not ‘just another cab driver’.

At last what else does a guy need. Kalanick seemed happy while talking about a girl’s feedback, saying “You’re cute, call me on 415- xxxx”.

Don’t you find it fascinating? This cool dude and CEO of the most valuable startup nailed it even as an Uber driver! What are your thoughts on this? Let us know in comments below.
