Everyone has dreams, as high as the sky, as deep as the ocean.  The difference lies in how deep or how high they measure it.  Similarly success comes to everyone in their own form, to the amount they someday wished to. After being on the success ladder and that too at a considerable position, your dreams and actions can’t be susceptible to mere negative thoughts.  When you utter or ponder over the phrases below, you unknowingly abase your own position and the hard work that you have done so far. If confidence is what defines you, you will surely strike off these phrases from your dictionary of work and life.

1. I can’t do it

Successful entrepreneurs emerge as champions because they swear by the fact that they can do anything and everything. They abide by to try and fail even more. But they can’t quit saying that something is not their cup of tea. Successful people always find an alternative way to a difficult task and make that happen. For them, “Impossible” simply means “I am possible”. They may not bear the fruit in the short term but they are the beholders of a realistic future. The positivity that they possess binds them to everyone who is around the corner. If someone is an entrepreneur, he/she is by default a doer and a leading one.

2. I am not good enough

The foundation stone of success is simply confidence. If someone starts thinking that he/she cannot do it even before laying the very first step, how can he expect to cover the unending journey; a journey in which challenges pop up every other moment! Remember, if you are not confident enough, there are tons of people to pull you down. The world is full of opportunities and if you don’t grab them at the right time because you think you are not capable enough, someone else surely will.

3. I did it

It is a very well established fact that one single person can’t do it all. Success of any venture works only by giving credits to everyone who deserves it, whenever it is due. When an entrepreneur gives credits to everyone who has been in charge of a particular job, he/she not just shows his gratitude but also team spirit. This ultimately makes the team feel that they are an integral part of the organisation and hence they work more dedicatedly. They work not as employees seeking mere salary but like team members who strive to see the organisation flourish.

4. It’s all your fault

People lose respect and faith  immediately when an entrepreneur puts himself over others. He may know that a mistake has been attempted, may be intentionally or unintentionally but he can’t blame or insult someone at one shot. He can’t lose his calm as these situations turn out to be disadvantageous to him only if he reacts too much.

5. It’s alright

If someone continuously repeats, “It’s alright”, it straight away means that things are not right and they are just trying to console themselves. It indicates that they are satisfied with what they have or what they have achieved. And once someone stops seeking for more, he/she stops seeking success altogether. There is no harm to believe that “whatever happens, happens for the good” but this should not limit the dreamer inside you.

6. It is not fair

Things can go wrong any moment. Nothing in this world is defined by a specific plan. Entrepreneurs are forever facing heavy competition and despite all the hard work, they may experience failure. Their competitors may get an extra edge just by fortune. That doesn’t mean that they stop trying and say that things don’t work like this. Phrases like, “Why me?” or “It’s not fair, I worked so hard” are just another understatements that will ultimately let your success down. Within all the failure that takes place, it is experience which remains hidden. And that experience is “fair” enough.

7. I don’t have time, I am too busy

Entrepreneurs are busy people; there is no denial in that. But, successful entrepreneurs are busy as well as helpful. Skills, hard work and intelligence don’t just define them. They are successful because they respect every single person who is responsible to make them what they are. They believe in building relationships and not just money. So, they never deny their responsibilities and escape saying “I can’t help, I am busy”.

8. I am bothered just about money

First of all if someone is an entrepreneur, it directly implies that he/she can’t depend on money making thoughts, at least not so in the short term. There are loads of other factors to take care of- customers, market, competitors and most importantly the employees. If he is not bothered about people who are there in his team, and he considers them to be just profit generators, he is simply not the right fit in the business. A venture grows through the efforts of each and everyone out there and not just a single bossy individual.

9. Using business jargon

People highly respect an entrepreneur for the noteworthy position he/she holds. An entrepreneur should realize that and not go on to use highly technical terms and flamboyant business jargon to impress or show off his knowledge. Initially, people may look up to him for the immense knowledge he may hold and he may start taking it too vainly. But finally this becomes a repelling factor and he/she loses business in the long run.

10. I should have

An entrepreneur’s life is all about taking risks. Success and failure are like his left and right hand. While success offers him a forward leap, failure doubles the success rate. Both of this go hand in hand. So, there is absolutely nothing to repent. Mistakes are always permissible but ensure that they are not repeated!
