IRCTC

Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Limited (IRCTC) has again taken a major leap by allowing international travelers to book e-tickets through a special portal in its website. Now foreign travelers can book train tickets through international credit and debit cards issued outside the country.

The new service is estimated to benefit 3.56 lakh foreign travelers registered who want to book tickets for themselves and for their family members on a regular basis.

India has always been a crucial tourist destination for travelers worldwide. But the lack of facilities like problems in booking tickets due to international cards have often proved to be a barrier. This problem has been finally solved by IRCTC in collaboration with Atom. Atom, an online mobile payment platform has worked closely with IRCTC to build this platform.

Process to Pay through International Cards:

  1. Select ‘International cards power by Atom’ option present under the ‘Payment Gateway/Credit card’ category at payment page of the website.
  2. Input all the details that are mandatory for payment such as card number, name, CVV, phone number, Bank name, address etc.
  3. After submitting all the details, the booking is completed if the transaction is successful and the user gets a positive payment response from the bank/Payment Gateway’s end.

Atom Technologies Limited is an online and mobile payment service provider which offers solutions to more than 30000 merchants and processes a total of $3 Billion annually.
